Vanessa Mudaly is the Head of Clinical Content at the Knowledge Translation Unit (KTU). She joined the team in 2025.

She completed her MBBCh at the Wits University and later obtained an MPH (epidemiology) at UCT. She has worked in the public health sector in the Western Cape for the last decade, strengthening policy development in HIV, TB and other priority health programmes and implementation of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives. She recently specialized in Public Health Medicine as a supernumary candidate. 

She is passionate about the primary health care approach and values collaboration and cocreation with stakeholders within and outside of the health system. She hopes to contribute to KTU’s vison of strengthening health systems in lower/middle income countries and facilitating universal health coverage.
