KTU hosts Alma Ata and PACK Congress

The Knowledge Translation Unit (KTU) at the University of Cape Town (UCT) Lung Institute, in partnership with the Western Cape Department of Health, the SA Medical Research Council (MRC), and the British Medical Journal (BMJ), hosted the Alma Ata and PACK Congress in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the World Health Organisation’s Declaration of Alma Ata.

The Congress also celebrated the launch of the PACK Collection of articles which are being published in the BMJ Global Health open-access online journal, as well as the launch of the PACK Movement - a social movement of people who all aim to promote access to quality primary healthcare for all, especially for those living in low and middle-income countries and support the development and implementation of PACK to achieve this objective.
